The circular economy is a regenerative system that minimizes waste, reuses resources and reduces environmental impact. Unlike the traditional linear economy of “take, make, dispose,”
Sports can be a powerful platform for demonstrating the principles of the circular economy. Our goal of building a 7-a-side turf field incorporates sustainable practices, such as using recycled materials and promoting eco-friendly maintenance. Sports activities provide opportunities to teach children and youth about sustainability, fostering habits that contribute to a circular economy.
By embracing circular principles, Green-Kenya advances its mission to give children a green future in several ways; Circular practices reduce waste and pollution, preserving natural resources for future generations. Recycling and reusing initiatives create opportunities for community engagement and skill-building. Extending the life cycle of materials reduces costs, enabling us to allocate more resources to impactful programs.
