When Green-Kenya Academy first began, it was driven by a simple but powerful dream: to use football as a tool to impact lives, build character, and offer young people a positive path forward. What started as a small group of players with big dreams has now grown into a well-structured, fast-rising academy that’s making waves both on and off the pitch.
Today, as we gear up for our 13th match in the Raising Star League, we pause to reflect on how far we’ve come—and where we’re headed next.
This season is special for many reasons, but one major highlight is the participation of six different age categories from Under 9 to Under 15. Each team represents a unique stage of development, filled with raw passion, growing skill, and a hunger to learn. Every weekend, our players show up with energy, discipline, and drive. Whether it’s our youngest U9s learning the basics or our U15s playing at a competitive level, there’s one thing that unites them all: the GK spirit. That spirit is built on hard work, respect, resilience, and faith.

Competing in the Raising Star League has given us an amazing platform to test our skills against top academies, learn through experience, and build lasting friendships. The league is more than just a tournament—it’s been a classroom, a stage, and a stepping stone for our players.
As we mark another year of existence, we’ve turned our anniversary into something bigger: Legacy Month. This is our chance to not only celebrate the milestones we’ve achieved but also to reflect on the deeper impact we’re making as an organization. Legacy Month is about looking back and honoring the journey but it’s also about fueling the future. It’s about celebrating the hundreds of training sessions, the countless early mornings, the goals scored, the setbacks overcome, and the lives transformed along the way.

Looking ahead, Green-Kenya Academy is ready to take bold steps onto the regional and international stage. We are currently gathering momentum and preparing to take part in two major tournaments: the Chipkizi Cup in Tanzania and the Norway Cup in Oslo, one of the largest youth football tournaments in the world.
These tournaments are not just about football they’re about giving our players exposure to different styles of play, new cultures, and a broader worldview. It’s about raising the bar, challenging ourselves, and letting our young athletes dream beyond borders.
This is a big moment for us, and it wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our coaches, the trust of our parents, and the relentless commitment of our players. Together, we are proving that football can be a powerful force for change.

At its core, Green-Kenya Academy is more than a football academy. We’re a community, a mentorship space, and a platform where the youth can grow in confidence, character, and purpose. Football is our foundation—but what we’re building goes far beyond the pitch.
As we continue through Legacy Month and prepare for new challenges, we remain focused on our mission: to raise not just better players, but better people. The far we have come is just the beginning—and the journey ahead is full of promise.
