The conclusion of the Raising Star League marks a major milestone for Green-Kenya Football Academy, a season that brought together passion, learning, and tremendous growth. With 18 matches played and over 150 young athletes involved, this league has been more than just a competition; it has been a formative experience for everyone in the academy, from our dedicated coaching staff to every player stepping onto the pitch.
We proudly fielded six teams, representing age groups from Under-9 to Under-15. For many of our players, this was their first exposure to structured league football, and they embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and discipline. Each category—U9, U11, U13, and U15 showcased remarkable improvement as the season progressed.

What began as a slow, learning-focused start quickly transformed into a display of confidence and teamwork. Game by game, our teams found their rhythm, developed chemistry, and began to shine. This season was especially meaningful because our players ventured into gym sessions for the first time. Strength and conditioning became a new part of their development journey, helping them understand the physical demands of competitive football. The results were visible on the field better endurance, improved agility, and more resilient performance. Learn more
Academy Director Ibrahim Salim captured the spirit of the journey perfectly:
“This year marked our very first experience participating in a league, and what a journey it has been. We started slowly, but as the games progressed, the teams found their rhythm and started to shine. We proudly competed across different categories, U9, U11, U13 and U15 each showing tremendous growth and determination. We gained valuable experience. A strong start to what promises to be an exciting journey ahead.”

As we look forward to the upcoming season, the focus shifts to applying lessons learned. Our players now understand the rhythm of league football, its intensity, its discipline, and its rewards. With experience under their belts and a hunger to improve, they will approach the new season with renewed confidence.

We want to thank Ian Greener of Football Coaches Australia for his insight that made a huge difference on our Coaching Staff, curriculum, and Continuous Professional development sessions. Parents and everyone who helped to taka a leap of faith this year, you have been the strength beneath our wings.
The Raising Star League has reminded us all that development is a journey. And this season, our journey has just begun.
